Dr Mark Lupton BDSc (Hons), MDSc (Orthodontics), MRACDS (Orth)

Dr Lupton grew up in the Brisbane eastern suburbs, attended school there then completed his undergraduate dental training at the University of Queensland before moving to Central Queensland to work for Queensland Health clinics in Rockhampton, Emerald, Gladstone and Biloela. After serving many years in a combined management and clinical role he returned to the University of Queensland for specialist training in Orthodontics. As an Orthodontist he has served many years with Queensland Health as Specialist Consultant across Central Queensland and the Sunshine Coast while also developing private practices in Gladstone, Rockhampton and Yeppoon. Dr Lupton is passionate about supporting training and education and has returned to the University of Queensland to assist with training orthodontists. He worked in all three practices for more than a decade before joined by Dr Tim Stewart.

As Adjunct Professor at CQ University Dr Lupton provides orthodontic training in the Bachelor of Oral Health program, graduates of which are eligible to be registered Oral Health Therapists. Dr Lupton has introduced clinical training for undergraduate Oral Health Therapists by integrating their final year practical training into our routine practice operation. He is the Treasurer of the Australian Dental Association Rockhampton Sub Branch and facilitator of their annual conference which attracts highly respected lecturers to the area in support of the continuing education for our local dental profession. Outside of dentistry and orthodontics Dr Lupton has continued his passion for eduction through the creation and exclusive funding of private tuition bursaries at The Rockhampton Grammar School.

Along with his wife and sons, Dr Lupton loves to travel, sail, ski and relax. He has a long history in the electronics and information technology industries and is personally involved with development of software and related technolgies for orthodontic and oral maxillofacial specialist practice.

Dr Timothy Stewart BDSc (Hons), DClinDen (Orthodontics)

Dr Stewart grew up in Monto where he did his schooling before moving to Brisbane to complete undergraduate dental training at the University of Queensland. On graduation, he relocated to Gladstone to work with Queensland Health where he first worked with Dr Lupton. After working in a variety of public clinics Dr Stewart moved to England for a short while to serve in private practice and travel throughout Europe. He returned to complete specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Queensland before returning to Rockhampton and commenced work with Dr Lupton.

As born and bred Central Queenslanders, Dr Stewart and his wife have many friends and family connections throughout the area. Their two daughters keep them busy. Dr Stewart is the current President of the Australian Society of Orthodontists Queensland Branch.

Dr Kerry Shooter BDSc (Hons), DClinDen (Orthodontics)

Dr Shooter shares a similiar training path with both Drs Lupton and Stewart, graduating along with Dr Stewart. He has worked mostly in the Bundaberg area in both public and private practice and maintains a keen interest in Surf Life Saving and keeping fit. Dr Shooter serves as the practice’s Locum so patients will see him at times throughout the year.
